It was an episode of Grey's Anatomy every day for those three months.
She came home in August of 2024, had a miraculous rebound and recovery physically, mentally, to the point where she was cooking at the end of 2024.
Recurrence, top of 25.
She got on this drug called Lumistein.
That just zapped her.
She did three more rounds of chemotherapy.
That's in addition to the initial round of chemotherapy that she had early 24.
But three more rounds of chemotherapy at 25, that just zapped her.
And 25 became something of a long goodbye.
And I just watched her constantly deteriorate and decline and diminish physically, cognitively.
But fast forward to May of 25.
My son's getting us a war and I'm getting dressed.
My wife at that point, she's home, by the way, she was never supposed to come home.
So she's home and I'm her full-time caregiver since August, from August of 2024 until she passed in December, 2025, I was her round the clock caregiver.
And so she's in the hospital bed in our bedroom in May of 2024.
And my brother-in-law came over to kind of just keep her company while I was gone.
Cause I couldn't leave her unattended.
And so,
I was like, OK, I'm going to see Mason get his award.
