And she woke up out of her sleep.
And at this point, she's sleeping 20, 21 hours a day, whatever, maybe more.
And she woke up, and she was like, what time is the award?
As lucid as could be, what time is it?
And I was like, well, it's right now.
And she looked at me with the look that Sarah would give when she meant it.
She was like, I'm going.
I was like, whatever you say, boss.
So got her dressed.
Helped her down the stairs on like the stair chairs.
At that point, she couldn't walk up and down the stairs.
Got her in the stair chair, got her into the car, wheeled her into the auditorium.
She saw Mason get his award.
She stayed awake for it.
She was a miracle, but that was just like, she was so committed to her family.
She fought to be here as long as she could for us.
And even though the story didn't end like we wanted to, I'm thankful for it all.
I'm thankful for all the people who poured into us, who served generous to us, who cared about us so much, who loved on us so much, who supported us, who showed up for us.
But that's the last thing I'll say before I just stop rambling.
Sarah showed up for her people.
