It's really inspiring as I kind of work toward taking steps to take up arms in this fight. So thank you guys for having me.

December 15th.
December 15th. Yeah, so you are very early in your journey. But before we get to the glioblastoma portion of it, she was the mother of your three children. So can you tell us about Sarah pre-glioblastoma? Because that is certainly the most important part of her memory.

What memories does Michael share about his wife Sarah?
I'm sorry. This is... It's probably the first time I've talked. It's actually the first time I've talked publicly outside of the memorial setting. So kind of excuse me if I get a little shaky here. It comes in waves, as they say, you know?
We do. Absolutely. Take your time, as much time as you need, man.
We know that this is still very raw for you, and it's one of the reasons why we're so happy that you're here to tell this story is because the grieving part of this is a part of this.
What challenges did Michael face while caring for Sarah?
And for everyone that's within the sound of our voices or can see us on Marquee or hear on the score, that's the part of it too, that sometimes it gets to be ignored. So it being so raw for you, we truly appreciate the fact that you were even willing to speak with us on this.

I'm getting old because there's so many children that say, or young adults, but I grew up watching you. I'm like, oh, my God. I'm at that stage of my life and career. But thank you for that. No, I came when Danny called. Our mutual friend, Ramani Jones, put us in touch. And when Danny called... I was like, yeah, because I just like, I gotta, I gotta keep moving and I gotta, I mean, I spent the last two years fighting with and for her and alongside her and the last, you know, several months just trying to, I don't know, reconfigure the pieces or pick up pieces or I don't know, create new pieces, whatever you want to call it when it comes to my kids and just, you know, my, my routine. And, um, I knew I had to be a part of this, um, in whatever capacity Danny wanted me because, um, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's what we, it's what we're called to do is what it's all about.
How does Michael feel about the support he received during his wife's illness?
It's my passion. Now I feel like I kind of got a, something of a unofficial, um, you know, degree, uh, in, in neurology and neuro oncology and, uh, oncology and, you know, and, uh, just the, the brain. And so, um, yeah, I, I really, this is helping. This is helpful to me is what I'm trying to say. This is, uh, it's helping me to, to, to talk about her. One of the things, and I had not heard, I know Jamel and Carrie, uh, talked about the Memorial, which I ha I know they posted something on Instagram, um, which I appreciate. Um, and, uh, they also, you know, spoke lovingly about, about Sarah, who they knew well. and uh but i hadn't heard that conversation because you know i'm kind of got some like some days just you know getting out of bed is a challenge uh i try to these days get up late and go to bed early just so i can condense the days if that makes sense um and so uh i hadn't heard that and so i appreciated those words and and i said it to say like you know i was so busy
in the fight.
