Um but the thing about rope in particular, because we're talking in sp specifically about rope tonight.
We are um is I uh was um really a shock to me when I was first tied up um in a sort of a Shabari ins um inspired rope is that I found it to be different from uh other forms of bondage that I enjoy.
And I found it different in as much that I found it to be more sexual for me personally.
Yeah, so tell me what Shubari
is.
That's a Japanese type of rope, yeah?
Yeah, absolutely.
In in Japan it's called kimbaku.
Um in the sort of outside of Japan it's called Shibari.
Um and basically it is a particular style or system of rope bondage tying.
Um Western bondage, which doesn't particularly have a name like Shibariokinbaku, um, is um
is not really a systemized approach to tying a person, but Shibari is.
And historically it comes from a a martial art called hojo jutsu, which is an art of restraining prisoners.
Japan didn't have a great iron industry.
Um and so basically they didn't have manicles and handcuffs to restrain prisoners when they were transported um between prefectures.
And basically are they used
used rope.
And they had it uh um different uh prefectures had different styles of tying, restraining and um all the all these different sort of like cultures around rope tying.

Um, I'm not familiar with any.
