Imagine going back to every single younger version of me who developed a certain belief about herself or who went through a certain kind of pain where she was feeling excluded or unworthy of love.
Imagining walking in to exactly where she was and extending my hand to her and saying,
Do you want to be here or do you want to walk out with me?
To save every single younger version of myself instead of waiting for someone else to save me now so that I could save her.
Being the leader for myself instead of following someone else's
footsteps hoping that they're going to get me to a great destination.
Understanding that if I want my life to be different from the lives of those around me or from the lives that I was exposed to at a young age, I have to do something differently.
Because if I continue to fall for the same rules and expectations and the same manipulative tactics that are meant to keep me the same, then I'm going to live that exact same life.
If I want to live a different life, I have to do something differently.
If I'm going to live authentically, I'm going to have to choose differently for myself.
I'm going to have to understand why it is that I have been living so inauthentically for so long.
Telling myself that I need to be a chooser in my life, a leader.
That was huge.
Going through all the decisions I would make in a day from what I ate to what I wore to the way that I spoke to my body language.
