Yeah, you know, like I kind of knew that if I couldn't be at home for one reason or another that I did have places to stay.

I've tried later in life to let those people know, too, how much that sort of means to me and still means to me.
I'll forever be grateful for having those people in my life and having their doors open.
Certainly now it's like if you can be that person to someone else, then I hold that in as something real close as well.
It's almost like for a lot of that time I was walking on a knife edge and it was like there was down this side, which let's not even look down there because that wouldn't be good.
And somehow I fell the right way in a lot of those times.
There were people like a teacher at primary school called Mr Edie who I changed schools after being bullied down the road and I went to this new school and managed to fit in quite well there.
It was like I went from this other school where, you know, the bullying was happening and all that sort of stuff and then I went to this new school and because I was fast, like fast at running,
I don't know it was real weird it was kind of like that was my in was like oh he's pretty fast he's pretty cool Pace is a big currency in school you can't coach Pace 100% and it was like a real I mean it's an interesting lesson there in that like
I hadn't changed between going to a school literally a K down the road to a K up the road.
Yeah, I mean, as a young fella, it just got to the point where I just, you know, was trying to make up being sick so I didn't have to go to school, coming home crying, all that sort of stuff, just seeing a mum like, you know, this and that and the other.
It's not something I look back on and think, oh, that was like ultra tough, but probably at the time it was the toughest thing I was dealing with.
Yeah, I mean, there's no malicious intent here from the old lady.
Certainly how it landed and how it's affected me for the rest of my life has been something I've had to really deal with.
She would, I guess fortunately or unfortunately for me, I definitely share mannerisms and characteristics of my father.
And he's a guy who, like, if you met him in a bar, you'd be like, this dude is out the gate, like, hilariously funny.
The thing I say to people is, like, great person to have a night with, like, have a fun time with, not a great person to...
marry your sister or be your father.
