They've played very good defense.

You know, they're among the top three in baseball, a defensive run saved.

I think some of the other things will start to take care of itself.

It's a group that's, you know, probably designed to win a lot of close games.

Um, but I think it at some point you've got to even out the the the balls that leave the ballpark versus hitting a few more of your own.

Yeah, I I would agree that, you know, inconsistent is probably a good way to describe the way hit the first quarter of his schedule has gone.

I I do think it is an adjustment, even for a veteran player like Yandi.

Um I I think the Rays want to make sure he's in the lineup every day.

And to this point of the season he has been, but part of the way to keep him on the field was the Rays are basically D Hing him almost every single game.

And it's

you know, I I know that um you know that that some players have made an amazing transition to doing that every day, but when you're used to playing the field that can take a little bit of time.

I think over the last

few weeks aside from the Milwaukee series over the weekend, we've seen a much more consistent Yandi Diaz.

And, you know, I think for him and Brandon Lau, those are the two guys who really have to be um, you know, real big run producers and I think that'll take pressure off

the rest of the group, especially considering the injuries this team has had.

You know, they've they've they've had four different outfielders go down.

So, you know, in in the case of Yandi and Brandon, um, to take pressure off the young guys, I think those guys have to start producing more consistently offensively, and I think they will.

I I think when he's on base, um, you know, I think all your your attention goes to him, um, in terms of the eyes in the ballpark and I'm talking about the opponent and I'm talking about the fans too.

I mean he does some things that very few people can.
