In New York he scored on a from second base on an infield hit.
Um, you know, he regularly uh has times to first in the three nines.
Um
And and I mean, when you're in that neighborhood, you're flying.
And I think it's a matter for him is adjusting to major league pitching.
Um he got off to a tremendously hot start and he's been cooled down a little bit, but he's still putting the ball in play.
Um and you know, I think uh adjusting to the way teams are defending him um is is something that he's making some continued um I
I think growth in over the weekend he had the last game he played, he had a a couple of doubles and sprayed the ball and he h hit a lot a lot of line drives.
But you know, I think eventually he's gonna be a very, very good player at the big league level.
He obviously was brought up a little sooner than anticipated, and that was in large part for the injuries, but I think more m more than anything, I think he's more than held his own to this point.
I think the Rays are always gonna be patient with young players and I think they have to be to be successful.
This is not a group that's gonna be extremely um reactionary in terms of
um, you know, their their players and I think that's why as you look over a a a big picture, they've had a lot of guys who've had, you know, runways and and success.
And, you know, I know that, you know, I I think with Christopher it's it's slowing, you know, learning to slow the game down and adjusting to a different position.
He's playing the outfield regularly this year and and that's been an a adjustment for him.
And, you know, I think
Slowly but shortly he'll come around.
I think probably the most consistent player for the race is right now is Jonathan Aronda.
And and Jonathan who grew up childhood friends, Alejandro Kirk in in Mexico is is a guy who, you know, he's had a couple of chances before it's clicked.
And the Rays have been patient and told them we believe in you and and sometimes um you know that that longer runway leads to a a better path and it's happened with Jonathan and hopefully sooner or later it happens with Christopher too.
