It's understandable that that happens because they're under time pressure, they've got a lot on, and they've already got a curriculum that works well, or they've already got some diagnoses they've studied last year, so it's use those again.
However, when you overdo it, you plateau or you can get worse.

It's not just those two.
On the other side of the coin is growth mode.
So in growth mode, you are doing things you've never done before.
First time experience, you're thrown into it.
You probably don't feel confident.
You often feel like an imposter and you're quite inefficient and you're making mistakes.

The upside is your capacity is growing really quickly.
And if you stick at it, what you are learning there will soon become perform mode.
And what is happening in most workplaces at the moment is when we measured this, most people were way overbalanced on perform mode.

They did it a year ago and they're not doing enough growth activities.
And when you point this out and measure it for them, they go, that explains why I feel the way I do.

I want some new stuff.
But the stuff that comes at us tends to be familiar and we tend to keep going for stuff we know how to do it.
