of your business or your, you know, or how you, so your business in terms of how you make money and how you are in the market, the products, the services that you sell, the clients that you interact with, et cetera.
And then also how you operate that business.
So the operations, the processes, the policies, the controls, the regulation, the people, the systems, you know, the contracts, the legal, the compliance, every single one of those elements gets looked at in an M&A program.
So when you do an M&A, you cover the whole vast aspects of an organization.
You're not like, you know, just the compliance person who's done a lot of compliance transformation or finance or operations.
On M&A, you see, and in my remit of being someone who is leading those programs, somebody who has oversight and making sure that they deliver things.
You have a huge remit.
So yes, the 15 billion is in deal value.
So if you look at the deal value of a lot of those deals across my career at Accenture and EY, that's what it amounts to.
So that means that when one of those firms or multiple of those firms actually close on that transaction, the value to them is X million or X billion.
If you don't successfully deliver, you don't realize the value.
And a lot of what I did in M&A was not just helping to actually construct, you know, the overall strategy and the plan for how do we put one foot in front of the other to make this happen.
It was also holding the right people to account in terms of how do we actually make sure we deliver the value that we said this program was going to be worth.
So we think this is going to be worth 5 billion.
How do we make sure that happens?
So that's a lot of it.
And then on the, there's the other side.
So I had about 15 or plus programs and bear in mind, uh,
a deal a transaction could last three years right you know the actual effort of merging finding the right you know the right the right partner due diligence the combined all all of that the due diligence then actually making it happen you know there's a period of time where you're kind of
very much linked to one another.
