I mean, the thing is, even though it is freeing that some of the women have said in terms of decision making, there is also the weight of decision making.
Everything is on you.
Is your child going to take dance lessons or violin lessons?
Something as minor as that to, you know, where am I going to buy my house to raise my child?
That's a very big decision.
Can I afford it?
All of those sit very heavily on a lot of people.
It's a weight that they carry.
They have friends with whom they discuss all of this.
But at the same time, the decision is always on their shoulders.
So this comes up quite a bit.
They also worry about, you know, when the kids grow up, the question that their own kids would get.
So, like, the woman from Nashville that I met, Laura Terry, that was her name, she talked about how she has a four-year-old daughter, and when she'd been rehearsing with her daughter, if someone asks you,
Who's your father?
You tell them that we are a family of a mother and two children.
But however, when she got the question that was in front of her, her daughter froze.
And that just made her heart stop because she knew that this was just the beginning of something that her kid would have to face.
But hopefully with time, she will be able to answer that question better with more practice.
