So all of us receive that.
And it's in reverse because you kind of hope that somebody will read your spam letter somewhere on the other hand.
And I'm using this word spam loosely here because obviously it's not...
that your documents or like everything that you've put your work into is spam but the point is that very often there is a very high volume of things and there is just not it's just not possible for a person on the other side to go through all this stuff it gets
better and easier, the more specialized and the more rare your position is, because then it's easy to just go through, I don't know, like, it's easy to go through 40 5060 applications, let's put it this way, like you can go through all of them in a reasonable amount of time.
But if you're receiving 500 applications, there is no way you're going through all of them like like virtually is just the point is that even if you Okay, I'm to rewind here, because there is a lot of stuff to unpack.
First of all, the reason is recruiter's job is not to go through applications or to give you feedback or anything like that.
Recruiter's job is to fill a position.
If they can build a solid pipeline with first 10 candidates that they've checked, then there is a very good chance they won't be checking the remaining 190 from 200 applications because they don't need to and nobody is paying them for that.
It's not their job to do it.
Their job is to fill the position.
The job is also to set up the system so the other 190 receive the update and even automated message.
But that's a different conversation also.
But generally speaking, that's why.
So when we are talking about
about LinkedIn specifically here in this case.
It's a very similar thing because when a recruiter or whoever is looking at your profile doesn't understand quickly what are you doing and for whom are you working?
For whom are you working means what kind of problems are you able to solve?
And if you can help them solve that problem, then there is a very good chance they will just move to the next profile.
