But it's important to keep in mind that mentally, we still think about people in these concentric circles.
This is the Rim Dunbar idea that it's like there are 50 people that you can conceptualize as being very close to you.
And the more people that you're quote unquote friends with, the more they're really becoming more like acquaintances.
You actually aren't that close anymore.
But I think it's an amazing thing that humans can move in these modern cities, but still maintain that sense that you have these close others nearby.
And good for her that she was able to meet such terrific people using this kind of approach.
That is the first time I've ever heard somebody call that a cope.
