Yeah, I mean, and these are teams where you want goalkeeper to be your strongest position, right?
I mean, the U.S.
always felt, I think, a little bit safer going into a tournament when you have Tim Howard back there or Brad Friedel or Casey Keller.
It gives a sense of confidence that we can afford to maybe make a mistake here and there because we have a goalkeeper who can pick us up and save us.
And I think the fact that both Canada and the U.S.
haven't been able to name a starter until late, that sort of permeates through the group, right?
Just that little bit of uncertainty.
And you hope that it doesn't when the games start and that there's belief in whoever's in goal.
But there is a difference between when you have a very clear and strong number one and when you don't.
And that's something both teams are going to have to keep an eye on all tournament long.
