Nowadays, with all the regulations relative to protecting data is so, so, so critical.
So having a compliance officer ensures that you're crossing your T's and dotting your I's.
There's just so many variables that are out there.
My journey?
Yeah, either one.
When I was in practice, I felt as though the most important thing that I could provide to people, right next to being able to analyze and adjust the spine, was to let people feel heard, let people feel significant, let people feel loved.
And I believe that's the fundamental aspect of every human being that they want.
They want to contribute to the world.
They feel as though what they're doing makes a difference to other people.
and they want to be loved.
And sometimes in our systems, we forget that.
You know, we spend so much time making sure that we check out the boxes, cross all the T's, dot all the I's, do the things that the regulators require, making sure that you don't miss something, that you don't get sued.
And sometimes we forget that we're here, people taking care of people, and that no one person knows everything.
And
I'm here to use my knowledge, my skill, and my compassion to be in service to you.
And to not lose sight of that was the most critical thing that I could do.
And in that space, I could then develop a trust with you so that I could open up a whole new world of how to look at your body and how you can care for your body.
In this space, as the president of a college, it can get really easy to get lost in checking off the boxes, getting the data, making sure we comply with the accreditors, all the budgets.
And sometimes the most frequent phrase that comes out of my mouth is to my cabinet and to the entire staff, the faculty, it's a way here to create compassionate, caring,
competent caregivers and that we can't lose sight of that.
