During this period, they actually found out that approximately 90,000 people were formally accused of witchcraft.

And about half of this number were executed.

So 45,000 people died.

And it was interesting because when I was traveling in Europe and I was in Scotland, I did a history tour and they were talking about the witch trials in Scotland, which was like a really big thing.

In fact, it was such a big thing that in 2022, there was this like minister in the parliament.

Her name was Nicola Sturgeon.

And she issued a formal apology on behalf of Scotland to apologise for everyone who was accused and killed of witchcraft under Scotland's Witchcraft Act of 1563.

And obviously, overwhelmingly, it was women.

So in England, it was 90% women.

They reckon about 76% in the Holy Roman Empire, which was like German speaking.

Hungary, 90%.
