It dates, the Holocene, the beginning of the Holocene is now dated at 11,600 years ago.
So it's precisely that termination date of the Younger Dryas.
Interestingly, and this is one of those kind of lurking variables, if you want to call it that, Plato, in his dialogues, Critias and Timaeus, he talks about the dating of Atlantis.
So the elderly priests are talking to Solon.
They're telling Solon, like I said, you are just like children.
You only know about one flood.
We know about multiple floods, right?
And he then goes on to say that
Our sacred registers go back 9,000 years, and 9,000 years ago, this great influx from this Atlantean civilization came forward out of the Atlantic and tried to subdue all of the societies within the Mediterranean.
There was a great war that happened, and at the end of this war, there was a catastrophe
Atlantis, there was a great seismic or earthquake event.
Atlantis subsided beneath the waves.
And likewise, there was a huge erosion, severe erosional event in the peninsula of Greece.
A lot of people overlooked that when they, you know, because essentially what Plato was saying is that, well, this catastrophe was not only mid-Atlantic, it was also on the eastern side of the Mediterranean.
So that means that it was a much broader catastrophe.
Now, he says that this basically, according to our sacred registers, this happened 9,000 years ago.
Well, Solon was in Egypt historically 600 BC.
Do the math.
600 BC from now is 2,600 years.
9,000 years before that precisely gives us the date of 11,600.
