It's going over and over and over in your mind.
And that takes energy out of your brain, out of your body.
And it is exhausting.
Yes.
Yeah.
So the other strategy you mentioned, like you say, is it's all encompassing for ADHD traits.
For RSD, look, what you've got to do is think about this with some logic.
Nobody can make the decision for you.
You've got to make the decision.
but you've got to do it from a place of calm.
So the first thing we do, you know, we basically, I've got an anagram of safe, you know, which kind of resonates with RSD anyway.
The anagram is safe, and that stands for stop, adjust, find space, and evidence.
And that basically means, you know, for our brains, you know, it's all about dopamine.
It's all about the dopamine getting into the prefrontal cortex so we can think with logic instead of just emotion and fear.
And that...
Stop is about literally stopping what you're doing in that moment.
Adjust yourself.
There's the common things that really trigger the vagus nerve, really trigger that calming thing like a cold water splash or a different room or a different activity that you're doing.
Do something that stops you being in that moment where your RSD is completely triggered.
That's the adjust.
