It's not laziness.
I mean, in many cases, it's the opposite of that.
It's enthusiasm.
It's zealousness.
you know but it's not tempered with any experience yet so you know they're they're just the kid in the toy store in many cases uh and and clearly uh ai's contribution to presentation uh is profound and it will be profound in both directions there will be people that will just misuse it terribly and there will people there are people who will use it like an incredibly powerful tool
Yeah, well, I like to joke that it was because I wasn't good enough to play professional tennis.
All of this is plan B. Right.
But yes, I was the editor of Inside Tennis Magazine for four or five years in the early 80s, right when desktop publishing was getting invented.
In fact, I joke that my typesetter and I, we invented desktop publishing.
in our own little vacuum with a little 300 baud modem that we spent $800 on.
And we figured out together that I could type everything in to WordStar on this $5,000 computer that is
one-tenth the power of our mobile phone today and transmit it to the typesetter.
And they saw this as an existential threat.
And they realized early on that they needed to really embrace whatever this new technology was.
And it didn't have a name.
I quit my job to become a consultant in this
thing.
It was impossible for me to get work because I couldn't even describe it.
And then John Warnock of Adobe said, let there be desktop publishing.
He gave it a name.
