As I mentioned at the outset, people really struggle with this.
It's not so much PowerPoint.
PowerPoint is really very easy to use.
It's really a mediocre commodity to have PowerPoint skills.
Both my daughters created slides when they were 10 years old.
Just about anybody can start using PowerPoint.
that's the problem though is that people declare themselves proficient long before they should and unlike word and excel uh this is a craft that you practice in public that's right exactly that's why death by powerpoint is just in everybody's vocabulary today uh and why even though the software is is is is easy uh
People rarely go beyond the very basics.
And when you do look past just the software, there's all the other challenges of how to engage an audience, both in person and virtual, how to be your most authentic self while you are hopefully sharing your expertise about a topic that matters to your audience.
These are all difficult things to do.
Exactly.
Yeah.
I,
Early on, you know, back in those days, holding learning events for Ventura publisher users.
I mean, this is software that very few members of your listening audience probably had ever heard of.
But again, this was just downright abusive software.
And people desperately needed help with this.
And so...
Giving seminars back then, I knew this software that they didn't.
And it was almost like I had tremendous sympathy for these people.
