Things like

blood pressure, things like heart rate, things that relate to the electrical system or the vasculature, but not the underlying etiology or pathophysiology of their advanced disease, which is rooted in impaired cardiac muscle function.

So to address their needs, one needs a medicine like an inotrope

But inotropes are oftentimes because of their mechanism

operating on a very delicate risk-benefit balance.

And omicamptamicarbol is a myotrope.

It works by a different mechanism.

And by activating cardiac myosin, it can extend systolic ejection time, the time that the heart is actually contracting blood, restoring that back towards normal,

and augmenting cardiac muscle performance and function where that's not addressed with standard of care medicines.

So we believe there are roughly four to five million patients in the United States and growing with heart failure, but there are about a million of them who have advanced or severe heart failure, and one needs a better pharmacotherapy for them that gets to the root cause of their disease.

That's right.

Yes, so we're still learning about eulacamptin, but we do believe by its different mechanism, and it has a different binding site than does afecamptin.

We do believe it renders it potentially as could be enabling of a different dosing strategy, perhaps not even requiring echocardiographic data to support its use in heart failure and preserved ejection fraction.

And Hef-Pef, in some ways, resembles N-HCM.

So the Acacia data with afecamtin may inform strategy for eulacamtin in Hef-Pef.

And we have other ongoing research with other cardiac myosin inhibitors that extend

our leadership in this pharmacology.

So we intend to not only have pioneered this space, but continue to lead and dominate.

And HFPATH is one of those frontiers where we believe we can make a meaningful impact.

But I'll also mention HFPATH is itself a constellation of diseases, a continuum, if you will.
