But uh the bike is really important for re hydration, re
placement of sodium and also energy intake and you can make a good plan according to the athlete or
to the individual needs of the athlete, maybe also looking at the weather forecast, the power he will produce, the sweat rate he normally has, and yeah, like I said, the sodium loss.
And then uh I think it's for this kind of race, it's possibly also not changing so much the the weather conditions.
It's pretty foreseeable and you can make a good plan for that.
the ultra races during the night and stuff, it gets really complicated, I guess.
And for a bike race, like a typical, let's say a uh a a stage of the Jiro or so, it's normally not that long that sodium becomes a huge problem.
But still it's maybe individual.
If you have a super hot day, a big athlete sweating a lot, salty sweater, maybe pre hydrating him with sodium is also a good idea.
So it's it's very individual and um we have some tools to deal with those hydration problems.
I I would always say like it depends on on the circumstances and on the athlete and what kind of event it is.
But as a a lower dose I would go two hundred milligrams maybe, or maybe even a little bit less.
Doesn't matter too much, but around two hundred milli two hundred milligrams.
If it's like very, very hot, a very long distance race.
Four hundred milligrams per half liter.
Something a around this.
Also, depending on what else you take, I mean all other nutrition products also could contain sodium, bars or gels, or chews, or other solid foods.
So um yeah, don't go too high, but for longer distances, heavy sweating, hot day, big at bigger athletes have some sodium and probably more than.
And two hundred milligrams per per half liter.
talking about all the other products you take in as well?
