So there's gonna be a probably a lot more focus on the on the back end of the curve and see how that behave uh behaves.
But but given the soft demand that we've seen today, you know, the bias will be that we might get another soft uh tepid or uh or auction tomorrow and that may may put a little bit of upward pressure in the back end of the curve.
Nice to know and and I suppose the focus there on the on the US weekly reading uh uh jobless claims is is that we haven't seen any signs of weakness.
Um it's pretty steady.
Um so unless that moves uh we we we we don't think we're gonna see a big market reaction.
And
Uh yeah, the the the only thing I would add to to that is that we did have um E C B speakers um uh yesterday.
Um and there there is sort of again as is often the case with teen ECB speakers, Lagarde has spoken before and said that the bank is well prepared to deal with the inflationary pressures, um or rather that Europe is well prepared.
Um but uh ECB Kasim uh was was a little bit more

Hawkish if you like, saying that you know the inflationary impact from this could could prompt uh a hike sooner than expected from from the ECB.
So certainly again they they're looking at those dynamics and they as they should, in terms of what the impact could be from high oil prices uh on on inflation and inflation expectations.

So um we have seen essentially it's uh a U turn, if you like, in in in the rates market, um because yesterday voice-verified
You know, when the news broke out or rather when the market opened, um, we saw ten year treasure yields move sharply lower, um, trading just uh um well below the three percent mark there to three ninety two. voice-verified

So linked to that is is to your point that um all of a sudden the voice-verified
There's a question mark around how long um energy supply is going to be affected, uh, particularly gas as well as uh as oil. voice-verified
Um and that's created a whole rethinking about what does this mean for the economy and in particular what does this mean for central banks reaction function. voice-verified
