And so uh I developed orthorexia because I became obsessed with eating clean and uh making sure only good things were going in my body.
And so I had a really bad relationship with food for a while, but I think now I've just kind of
found myself and
Yeah, I think there's definitely so many things that can benefit when you get to know and understand the chemistry and your body.
It opens up a space for everything else out external to work, like psychology, all those wonderful extra things that that help us to work better.
Yeah.
Oh, that is a very good question.
Uh so what I actually do now is I teach this in schools all over Australia and I start with teaching them just how the digestive system works because as you said, um, you know, they want nutrition to fix their kid.
I've I'm a huge believer of we are not what we eat, we are what we absorb.
And for me, even though I was eating incredibly nutritiously, I still had panic and anxiety because I wasn't actually absorbing
any of the nutrients that were going to make my brain function better and my and my nervous system basically work better.
And so when I really understood how to support digestive health by slowing down, chewing our food.
um, all those wonderful foods that I were eating eating were able to actually break down and absorb into my body.
And I was seeing so many women come into my clinic with their kids.
And their kids were so anxious and just not absorbing any of these wonderful foods that were going in.
So it was kind of like, what was the point?
So I yeah, I run digestive factory and I really get them to understand the best way to absorb those nutrients.
So that's sort of where we we we start with the foundations first and then we look at things like
Is the child eating enough protein?
Because protein in particular, it provides those amino acids that are used to make those neurotransmitters in the body.
