So it was kind of a natural transition to just stay in the space.
It's fast paced, it's aggressive, and you just have to be scrappy.
And if you're scrappy and creative, you can make it in this industry.

But when sales does really well, doesn't mean that marketing is doing well.
But when marketing is doing really well, it doesn't mean that sales is doing really well.
So they all have to kind of work together.

And I think the way that you can actually make it work is by having a really great relationship with your sales leader.
Whenever I'm in an organization, I love having really open rapport, sitting down with my sales leader on a weekly basis saying, hey, I'm seeing this source, let's say website, for example, that normally has a close rate of 75%.
Right now you guys are closing at 30%.
What's happening?
Are you hearing something that's consistent in these appointments that maybe they're saying, oh, I thought I was signing up for free windows or, oh, I thought that I was getting X amount off and you're only giving me Y. And that type of conversation, I think, is what makes that dynamic with marketing and sales works.
Like you're all taking ownership for your part of the puzzle.
