Because in that moment, you're actually building an asset, which is it's bigger than me.

It would work without me here because I need to go be doing that other thing.

So again, there's nothing wrong with the thrill and excitement of being a freelancer.

And there's nothing wrong with being an entrepreneur.

It's when you are confused that the stress kicks in.

When someone criticizes your product, they are not criticizing you.

They're saying, based on who I am and what I see, I don't want this.

And if you get defensive and tell them they're wrong, you've helped no one.

It doesn't matter what you want, and it doesn't matter what you like.

It matters the customers you have chosen to serve.

What is the story they tell themselves?

And that leap of empathy is critical because you're going to have to pick the customers who have a problem you want to solve.

And then they're right.

As soon as you say you're wrong, they're not your customer anymore.

In the digital world, there are things that I have offered that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars.

And the first time someone says, I don't like it, I'm not going to persuade you you're wrong.

I'm going to ask you if you're enrolled in the journey, see if you want to be enrolled in where we're going.
