Yeah, I know what you mean.
There was more people actually in Cambridge who were homeless.
Right.
So, you know, it's a bit like if you go to San Francisco, if anyone's been to San Francisco, it's actually where the homeless people go because it's such a big community of homelessness.
Yeah, right.
So they kind of hang out together and support each other and so, yeah.
Yeah, no, no.
I think that the two sides of it that shocked me, one was the kindness of the people that were homeless.
So I never realized that side of it.
I had an image that they weren't nice.
The other side was just kind of how horrible people could be.
So I did try to beg and actually someone spat at me, for example, and called me an alcoholic.
I've never drunk alcohol my whole life.
I've never drunk alcohol.
I didn't drink alcohol.
But there's an instant assumption that because I'm there, it's somehow my fault.
Like I've got addiction of some sort.
So people were quite cruel.
And what I realised when I was in this environment, a lot of people got into drugs because every one of your listeners, they might not like to hear this, every one of your listeners is three steps away from being homeless.
Something could happen to you.
