My God, if you wait till you're certain, the advantage is gone.

So every single day, these women and men are working to be able to acquire the information that allows us to make an assessment of

that they know can be turned around with one piece of data, and yet still they provide it so that we have advantage.

To then say that those people

who may make error, we could go through history and talk about errors and that, but are somehow not for America and then would do anything to harm it that are out there harming a president.

The same thing that makes them in peril of too often pandering to a president.

is the one thing that they would never do, which is they are in such service to this nation and even to the president that the idea that the president is in saying that they're trying to do something to this country or to him that is un-American, you can't believe it.

And so I'm not as worried about the women in the intelligence community because I'm so proud of them and because I believe in them and because there are still people supporting them.

But let me tell you who I am worried about, the American people.

I've been out how many years now?

But I go on TV and I'll say something that I think is about the issue about national security.

And you would not believe what shows up in social media or in my inbox.

I am told that they know where I live.

I am called horrible personal things.

So my problem is not that social media is a perfect reflection of America, but the problem with what he's doing is he's making America, Americans, not believe in us.

The damage that that does

is so much more profound than the damage to any of the institutions.

And so, yeah, I worry about my former colleagues, but I think we got to bounce up bigger and say the aggregate effect of this on my favorite humans, which are our citizens, to make them believe that

That they can't trust us.

And I don't know how you surge trust in a crisis, Nicole.
