Yeah, that's a very good point.

A lot of people end up spending a lot more than 12 months in a professional year, particularly because of that hurdle midway through of completing and passing the advice exam.

A lot of people who are really, really good at the day-to-day practical aspects of advice don't pass that exam because it is a difficult exam to sit.

I would say just do what is within your power to try and reduce the experience gap where you can.

So if you've got the capacity, just getting to know the actual advice processes a little better.

So you might even –

go out of your way and, I guess, interview potential advisors for yourself and just understand how they communicate with you in that first meeting because a lot of advisors will do that for free.

Obviously, be mindful of their time.

But other things would be if you've got the capacity to just understanding some of the tools that advisors use commonly.

Big one.

and just kind of like trying to get in there and have a play.

Like some of the ones that we use are totally free as well.

Like product for X is what we use for all of our comparisons between different investment options.

So you can jump on, have a play with that online.

X plan is the one that a lot of businesses, probably the more traditional businesses use.

But

But if you've completed your degree, you've probably had a bit of experience in that anyway.

So show that when you're applying for roles as well, like even if it's just giving them concrete examples of work that you've done through your studying, it still is going to give you an edge that shows that you understand how to operate day to day in advice.
