If you think about it as going out to eat a meal, you know, are you going to go to the same restaurant every week and order the same thing?
Some people do and they're happy with that, but there's always a conversation about where are we going?
What are we doing?
What's our budget?
How long do we have?
How many courses are we ordering?
What are we ordering?
Do you like this?
And if it's with a near person, it's going to be a little bit more intricate conversation than it will be with a partner that you've been with for a long time.
So think about sex like that.
It's like, all right, what are we doing here?
What do we want?
Yes, I think often I ask people to write all their things that they'd like to try down on a piece of paper on a list and then they come together with their list and if you both like the same thing, tear it off, put it in the bowl, it can be a selection.
So you can kind of build a list of the things that you're both willing to try and then again a list of maybes.
So that's clear and it's an easier way to do it.
You can sort of write a list and compare notes rather than
have to have an awkward conversation if you're feeling a bit funny about it.
So you're starting with a list and then before you know it, you're chatting about stuff going, oh, I never picked you for one of those kind of people.
