Challenges some of the assumptions that some people had there in the market of uh that US growth exception e exceptionalism narrative fading.
And i I guess it also goes to show you why companies have been a bit hesitant to change policies ahead of uh ahead of those tariffs becoming a bit more finalised.
Uh 'cause you look at these kind of decisions and it's quite clear the US does.
The day before.
And it's quite quite clear the US did not have the refining capacity in in copper and it was quite clear it didn't have the the resources in copper in order to satisfy domestic demand either.
So so I think it's um a positive development bet there, but also
highlights why companies have been relatively hesitant in changing policies and changing prices until this stuff gets finalised.

Um so I guess that's that's one area that I think uh markets are still gonna be um relatively cautious about.
Yeah, so uh the way I read that statement was uh a little bit more slightly duffish and probably becoming a little bit more confident uh more comfortable with the notion that the Canadian economy will need further support from uh interest rate cuts.
And for me the key uh excerpt from that statement was uh if a weakening economy puts further downward pressure on inflation and the upward price pressure from the trade disruptions are contained, there may be need for a reduction in the policy interest rate.
