So if uh for whatever reason um Asian currencies start rising, then people who have unhedged or little hedged exposure uh to uh matched

um to US assets would then start to think about well, should they start be repatr repatriating money back towards those countries um in anticipation of those FX moves. matched

And so um that could actually lead to at a margin, um some pressure on US yields there. matched

So there's a bit of circularity there as well. matched

It's been quite a big move and you could say uh the moves that we have seen over the past week has basically been driven by a lot of the positioning uh very much underallocated uh US equities, um, given all the trade headlines there. matched

And so we are back to where we were at the beginning of the year in terms of US equities. matched

And I think really to drive a further move higher in US equities it'll have to either come from from um earnings upgrades, so obviously the profit reporting season. matched

Uh and then the second one is matched

Is uh to what extent does the um does the Congress budget bill, uh which Trump is in i r relatively endorsing, to what extent does that get up and does that start to uh hit the deregulation and the low tax agenda? matched

And if it does then maybe that gives a further impetus to uh the equity matched

Uh yes, and uh not only that, uh the Treasury Secretary uh Bassent also um uh tweeted on X uh that uh it looked like uh the Chinese and the US were um were meaningfully engaged on the next steps in terms of uh fentanyl. matched

So uh of the uh thirty percentage points tariff on uh China, um about twenty percentage points of that is related to the fentanyl thing. matched

So uh that would be relative. matched

positive for risk assets if you were to get that follow through um in the say coming weeks. matched

And we would see a response. matched
