Uh ensure supply chains were were robust.

And if you think of it in terms of those perspectives, then the imposition of tariffs is driving some of that, bringing manufacturing back towards home, or at least some kind of nearing.

Robustness of manufacturing supply chains is a little bit hard, and that's going to take a period of time.

Um, then uh the imposition of tariffs is working towards those kind of goals.

But that does come at a cost uh in terms of the domestic economy.

And so what we have seen is uh the US administration various officials and they've been briefed by a number of different business leaders uh over the past couple of weeks, and some of it has leaked out into the public press.

Uh they're becoming a little bit more apprehensive about the potential impact on the US economy.

And we do know that shipments from China

China to the US has fallen by about thirty, thirty to forty percent, uh um uh in the second half of April.

And so that is leading some to really worry about supply chains and availability of product in the US.

So to me, um, no surprise why uh US administration officials are starting to

And the difficult thing for markets is they're trying to be forward looking.

So they're trying to see what the end negotiated terms are.

Um and so as that kind of probabil distribution of where that m maybe starts to shift and whether the remarks on Friday, the press release, uh the Wall Street Journal article are guiding towards uh some kind of near term uh agreement or some ratcheting down, uh then that's broadly positive for

The markets there.
