Uh the indicative rate that is going to be charged on India was also announced overnight, uh and a few other rates as well.
So we're getting closer to
Perhaps a little bit more clarity, uh and so that may see uh more companies starting to adjust prices, uh particularly end consumer prices.
So I think it's quite right that the Fed held rates.
Uh I g I guess the risk is clearly in the market is pricing it here that the uh Fed doesn't move in September, with September only about fifty percent price.

Well yes, and I guess that's an interesting uh spin to it.
Like a lot of people were saying that the Fed should be cutting rates, but indeed the Fed has been looking through some of the inflation effects.
Uh whereas in traditional Taylor rules, um, that would suggest that the Fed should be hiking rates here.
So yes, um the Fed um uh is um looking through some of this inflation by holding rates steady.
But in that quip he also said, um, but I mean I wouldn't insist
insist upon that.
So uh I think it was just a quick just to show uh exactly what the Fed is is doing here.
Well yeah, so but I I guess the key point is here uh US GDP growth for Q two was three percent quarterly annualized, uh and the consensus going into it was uh two point six percent quarterly annualized.
So it came out a little bit uh higher than what the market was e expecting there.
Um as you noted, uh there was that fall in um um uh
Yeah, yeah, there's a fall in imports that helped boost up that figure.
But that was also just uh a movement from the big uh inventory um and import surge that we saw in uh the December quarter and in in the March quarter.
So actually when you uh average the growth rates for Q one and Q two, that gives you about um average headline GDP growth of about one point two percent.
So it does suggest that the economy has has slowed and indeed when you look at the
