And I think when you get better at being you, the better you shows up in every sector of your life.

So personal development is if you're going to invest in anything, invest in personal development, because you'll end up being a better co-worker, as you said, better in your career, better as a family member, better as a community member.

You can't not get better in everything.

See, I didn't grow up with this term in my head.

It's a fairly recent piece of terminology, and I feel that it's been given such an important name that it's making it even stronger.

When you boil it down, it's when you're feeling self-doubt.

It's when you're feeling that, you know, I shouldn't be here.

Actually, I've blagged my way.

I don't deserve to be here.

It's just happened by luck.

You feel that somebody is going to figure out at some point soon that you shouldn't actually be in that room on that project, whatever it is.

And you are so scared of being found out that you end up doing things like overthinking or trying to be a perfectionist because you don't want anyone to figure out that you don't deserve to be in that space.

So all of that can be quite paralyzing and confusing.

exhausting and causing of anxiety.

And that's not a nice place to be.

I think in any field, and I'll use the athletics example because we've just come out of the Olympics.

In any field, you can get so far by working on tactics and skills and learning a new language or learning a new trick.

You can get so far.

But then if you want to go further, then you have to become incredibly self-aware, incredibly emotionally intelligent.

And that's where the real progress happens.
