And John Howard was about 18% approval rating.

Yeah, Hawke was huge.

Hawke used to get criticized by the left for governing like a liberal.

And on economic policy, he basically was Margaret Thatcher.

This is why he was successful.

He was a trade union guy.

He used to love drinking beer.

And he's one of the boys.

But he basically, and so the Labour Party movement loved him, that his economic policies were liberal policies, and that's why he was successful.

But what happened with, yeah, so what had happened is Howard was the opposition leader in the mid to late 80s, or the mid 80s.

And the John Laws show used to be a big, massive radio, talkback radio show.
