There was one or two, like I've got this girl, Ellie Walton, I follow.
I really like her stuff.
She's so cute.
She's the reason I wanted the skateboard, but she wasn't, her content's not about skateboarding.
There happened to be a video of hers that went viral into the millions where she's super chill coming down, you know, holding her kid's scooter on a skateboard.
That was my first like, huh, I didn't know women my age skateboarded.
Interesting.
She is the start of the reason I started going, huh.
That said, now that I've watched a lot of videos about skateboarding, it's all I have.
So my feed on social media is fitness, skateboarding, snowboarding, animal videos for my daughter, and crochet videos for my daughter.
What we watch, we get more of.
Their brain's the same.
So if you spent years of evidence looking for the reason you're not enough, your brain's going to be really good at finding it.
If you've spent years looking for what's wrong and how you should lose the last two inches on your stomach or your cellulite on your legs, your narrator keeps serving that to you as more proof.
And it's not necessarily true.
It's just a slice of the full picture.
And it just feels really...
familiar.
So I have some questions for reflection for you.
I want you to ask yourself today, what story has your inner narrator been re repeating to you on like on loop on lock?
