What problem does the episode introduce about how we see ourselves?

Trish Blackwell 0:00
One of the saddest things that I see as a confidence coach is watching really, really incredible people walk around unaware of how incredible they actually are. And instead of knowing how amazing they are, they notice every flaw. They... notice everything that they're doing wrong instead of what they're doing right, but everyone else notices their light. And somewhere in between comparison and perfectionism and social media, they've stopped believing the good that others so easily see. And I wish just for five minutes, that you could hear conversations people have about you after you leave the room. Not imaginary ones that your anxiety invents, not the negative ones, but the real ones. The ones when you walk away and someone says, she's so encouraging, or I love being around him, or she has such a calming presence.

They have such a beautiful family. They're so kind. I wish I had his confidence. I wish I had her style. Because I think you'd be shocked by how many different conversations are actually happening right now outside of people saying nice things about you that you don't realize. If you've ever looked in a mirror and only seen what needs fixing or wondered why everyone else seems to see something in you that you can't see, this episode is for you. We're going to dive into how to see yourself the way other people see you. Welcome to the Confidence Podcast, your go-to space for high performance coaching designed for ambitious, high achieving individuals who want more out of life. This podcast will help you activate it fully. I'm your host, Trish Blackwell. Let's get started. Hey podcast fam, this is Trish Blackwell, your mindset optimization coach, your confidence coach, your number one fan, your cheerleader to remind you that you have infinitely more potential within you than you believe, but you have to commit and believe with unreasonable commitment. I'm talking about taking things to the next level, doubling down on your beliefs so much that people think you're delusional. That's what people who do things with their life do. It's not hard to be successful. You just have to do what other people are unwilling to do. And I want to be completely honest with you. Most people aren't willing to do this mindset work because it feels soft.
Trish Blackwell 2:42
It feels fluffy. Journaling feels time consuming. So one of the easiest ways to set yourself ahead of quote unquote the rest of the world and to do what other people are unwilling to do is to do this, to train your brain, to take time to think about what you think about, to challenge your thoughts and your perception of yourself, your perception of your life, of what your limits are, and to even be bold enough to think, you know, there could be something more. Like that's the work that most people go, oh, it's that weird uncomfortable where people go, I don't have time. It's probably not worth it. It probably won't happen. But the bold, the brave are the ones who go, I believe there's more for me.
