Why is commitment more important than talent or motivation for achieving your dream life?
The life you want doesn't require more talent. It doesn't require more money, more discipline, more special uniqueness, more willpower. It actually It simply requires more belief. A different level of commitment that most people Just quite simply, quite frankly, aren't willing to sustain. And what I've learned after coaching thousands of high achievers is that the people who create extraordinary lives. Aren't definitely aren't the smartest, the prettiest, the most gifted, the most connected. They're the ones who stopped asking themselves every day if they still felt like doing the work. They're the ones who kept showing up and renewing their belief every single day. They decided once and then they renewed their belief.
They renewed their commitment. They made a commitment not to quit. They decided once they kept showing up. long after motivation faded, long after excitement wore worn off, and they kept going even when they didn't get immediate results. If you've ever felt frustrated because you know what to do, but you're tired of starting over or feeling like you're just making really microscopic progress when you want monumental results. This episode is for you. Today we're talking about the kind of commitment that changes your identity, not because it's extreme, but because it's consistent. Let's dive in. You deserve the confidence that rises to meet your dreams. This podcast will help you activate it fully. I'm your host, Trish Blackwell. Let's get started. Hey, welcome to the confidence podcast. I am Trish Blackwell, your host. You're listening to episode 711. And we've had all this: your dream life has a price tag. Your dream life has a price tag. It has an unreasonable level of commitment. I want you to be unreasonable. I want you to be weird. I want you to be different. I want you to stay in your lone lane and use your brain and your focus and your energy, creating the life that you want, showing up to be the person you want to be, not getting distracted, scrolling in the the world of social media and looking at other people's lives and thinking that must be nice.
Because if you're thinking that must be nice, then you're looking through a lens of envy and thinking it they're different than you. If somebody can do it, it's available. to you too, but the real difference isn't luck, talent, confidence. It's just that it's their commitment. And I really want to talk about this unreasonable commitment it takes to get what you want. Most people They want it more than they're willing to work for. I need you to stop wanting it more than you're willing to work for it. And the question I want to start us off. is are you willing to commit and not quit? Please write that question down for yourself. Am I willing to commit and not quit? That means that Not quit when I don't get immediate results.
Not quit when it backfires, when it feels like I'm taking not just two steps back, one step forward, but five steps back and one step forward. Will I stop? What will I keep going until I figure out what it takes to get what I want? This is not a tell me what to do. It's a scientific approach, scientific method approach to your life, to creating your dream life, to going, I think this is gonna work. Oops, this didn't. Let me modify, let me shift, let me keep going. What I do know is I don't know what's gonna get me to the result I want, but I do know that I share his helm and not gonna stop trying. I will not quit. I am willing to commit and not quit because I really wanna propose to you today that the dream life you want actually isn't any harder than anyone else's or even the life you're living right now.
It simply requires a level of commitment to Either that you in the past haven't been willing to sustain or most people aren't willing to sustain. Not because it's hard, not because you're incapable, but simply because you stop. I want you to think about
