From a human design perspective, another interesting possibility is meditating with people who also have an undefined or open solar plexus.
Without a strong, consistent emotional wave coming from defined solar plexus energy in the group.
The atmosphere may feel less emotionally intense for some people.
It can create a quieter environment where you may find it easier to notice your own experience without feeling as much emotional stimulation from the people around you.
Ultimately, the goal isn't to find a meditation environment that human design says you should use.
It's to become more observant of your own experience and recognize the conditions that help you feel present, grounded, and connected with yourself.
Your meditation practice doesn't have to look like anyone else's.
And sometimes the most valuable part of meditation is simply discovering what allows you to come back to yourself.
Okay, let's get practical because understanding your design is useful, but the real value comes from knowing how you can work with your own experience in everyday life rather than trying to force yourself into a meditation style that may not feel natural to you.
If you have a defined solar plexus, one of the most helpful practices can be wave.
Journaling Before you meditate,
Take a minute to check in with yourself.
And simply write down where you seem to be on your emotional wave, whether you're feeling high, low, neutral, excited, sensitive, or somewhere in between.
You don't need to analyze the emotion or try to change it.
The purpose is simply to acknowledge where you are before you begin.
So you're not sitting down to meditate with the expectation that you should immediately become calm.
Or emotionally neutral.
Another option is body-based breathwork, particularly when you're experiencing a stronger emotional wave.
A slow, extended exhale can help bring your attention back into your body and create a little more space around whatever you're feeling.
You could try breathing in for four counts and slowly breathing out for eight, repeating this for several minutes while allowing the emotion to be present without needing.
