When I do it.
But most of the time I'm so in my body and so in my head, and I've got this negotiation going on all the time, which is possibly the ADHD, I'll soon find out.
But it's like this battle of me trying to impress someone or say the right thing or make sure somebody feels safe or make sure somebody feels seen.
It's all stuff outside of me making myself happy.
Happy, which is silly really, because it is going to cause me to probably reach a point where I'm like, fuck all of this.
I can't do any of it anymore.
I can't.
I'm in a complete wreck.
So I have to be so careful that my
You know, this this level of people pleasing that I had when I was a drinker doesn't just continue, even though the sobriety I know gives us so many benefits and I'm so much happier and I'm so much freer and there's so many great things about sobriety.
But this for me is an ongoing battle.
That, you know, is gonna take a long time to heal.
And I'm, you know, I always go to therapy, I always reach out for help.
I'm always trying to understand myself a little bit better.
But I hope this kind of conversation about the difficulties of sobriety to resonate with some people listening because, you know, sometimes these sober coaches, you know, and people online, me, I'm totally guilty of.
This.
We're all sharing the benefits all of the time.
And even on my sober platform on CUPA, sometimes people are like, can somebody just tell me how they're actually feeling?
And sometimes we do feel low and we do feel overwhelmed and life gets pointy, as I said at the start.
And to be able to self-reflect and sit with those feelings is something that I'm still having to learn to do.
