Like I didn't feel like I had a choice, as I said.
And, you know, this is the culture that we're in.
And some people can seem to be able to drink and stop at one or stop at two, and some people can't.
It's not necessarily that person's.
Fault that they can't.
It's the fact that they have this disease or there's something going on with them, perhaps undiagnosed, that makes them want more.
And the drug is designed to make you want more.
So therefore, it's a collision of two things that it's impossible to break free from until perhaps you're a bit older and you've gone through a lot and there's a lot of trauma under the bridge and you go, right, I can't do this anymore.
And then this guilt.
pops up and this shame about our past and it's something I've not suffered with, I must say.
I have totally owned my past.
There was a lot of mistakes.
There was a lot of shit that I did.
And of course mummy wine culture on top of that, I was the perfect candidate.
To let my hair down at the weekends and have these rewards and be part of a new culture.
And actually, I could create a culture wherever I went.
It didn't matter who I was with or where I was.
I could bring that culture with me because that's what I wanted to do.
But that shame and guilt, man, it is really destructive and it's really unhelpful.
And people blame themselves.
