I'm sure you are too, but a lot of the people that are problem drinkers that I speak to are getting late-diagnosed ADHD.
So I'm a little bit on that path at the moment.

therapist said to me, like Vic, do you feel like you've got a motor on all the time?
And that motor is a kind of people-pleasing motor, as you mentioned.
And to feel that that is on all the time, like I'm consciously thinking about
how I can make other ha people happy, it's a problem for me.
And that has been a problem throughout my life.
And honestly it's exciting to think that there's a possibility of fixing that and that I don't have to feel that anymore.

There was a situation at school where I had two best mates and I turned up for school.
and they ran away from me and they never spoke to me again.
And since that point I always come back to it.
I come back to it in therapy.
I come back to it on podcasts when people ask me, like, why do you think you're like that?
And I do.
It it it is a real moment in time where not only from that point did I want to make new friends, but I wanted to entertain them and I wanted to keep them.
And it meant that I put my own needs aside for the sake of others and sort of abandoned myself because I was scared of that ever that ever happening again and people not liking me and feeling how I felt when I
