Right at the end of this 15 minutes, he essentially said, so I'm going to be resigning, triggering a by-election and standing in it again, because this by-election is going to be the people versus the establishment.
He essentially wants it to be a referendum on him.
Obviously, we know that he is under investigation by the standards commissioner for these donations.
We know that one of the penalties that could be given up if they found that Farage had done something wrong is suspending him for a certain amount of time, which would in turn trigger a by-election.
So here you have Nigel Farage kind of trying to jump the gun, essentially, trying to basically say, look, scrap the investigation.
It's going on too long.
It's all a stitch up anyway.
Let's just put it to the people of Clacton and they can decide whether they want to stick with me or not.

Surely it would be the case that, OK, he does this by-election.
He's returned as an MP, presumably.
He had a huge majority and he does have a lot of stands.
And then wouldn't the committee just say, OK, yeah, that's great, but this is the procedure.
Now you have to do it again.
So potentially people have clapped in two by-elections on the come up.

So while he has stepped down as an MP, the Standards Commissioner investigation ceases.
But you're right, if he gets re-elected, they can just start it up again.
And the people of Clacton could have two very costly by-elections in quick succession.
