Well, thanks so much, Dr. Drew. Scott really loved you. And he was so happy when you visited him that day with Greg Gutfeld and the three of you guys did a podcast together. And he was really, really just happy that he was able to spend time with you before he passed away. It was really, really important to him.
Joe, for Greg and I also, we both multiple times to just thank God we went up there because he got so sick very quickly after that. It's like, you know, we were trying to find that time for six months. We were talking about going to visit him and we finally found the time. Thankfully, we did. How did you get tapped for the book about his life and tell us a little about the book?
You know, I was asking him the same question. Why did you ask me to write this book? And I think it's because we just became friends who were loyal to each other and who shared things that we trusted each other with and who defended each other. And I think over time that created a bond of trust and he really wanted to leave behind a biography that expressed some of his teachings as well as the story of his life. And I'm through the draft, actually halfway through the first draft, which I started right before he passed away.

And it's going to go through several drafts. I'm hoping that we finish probably by the midpoint of this year so we can have it out by the end of the year. But he was very generous in giving me information and access to people who... he interacted with, and I've learned an incredible amount about his life. I think the most interesting thing to me, well, let me name two interesting things about Scott Adams. One is that we know that he devoted the latter years of his life to helping people, and he made that his focus. What I didn't realize was that he had done that his whole life. And there are stories that began emerging about how he had helped people when he had nothing to give them. He became very wealthy through Dilbert and through investing.
And he was able to make a difference in many people's lives later in his life. But he was interested in helping people when he didn't have those resources. And so that's been incredible. And the other thing is he had a book that he published before his very successful business books and his political commentary called God's Debris, which is kind of a theological reflection and his own publishers wouldn't touch it. They did not want to publish something controversial on religious and political topics.
