A lot of stuff that I said to Courtney, honestly, I was trying to psych myself up for it. But when I went, I just went to Great American Ballpark and walked around. And I get it. Like, I get it.
I'm like, okay, spring training, rearview mirror, people around the park. You pointed this out. I wasn't even thinking about this. Like, Cincinnati is one of the best opening day parks there is, right? Or communities anyway, isn't it?
Definitely. Yeah, because it's like you got other cities that obviously celebrate the day, but some of the big cities obviously have the split teams, especially New York, so it's a little tricky. Cincinnati... I don't know if it's actually a holiday, but it seems like it, in terms of like the pictures and stuff I see, people definitely treat it like a holiday.
They have a parade. There's a plaque. So we went, so Jemiah Webster of Nessun and myself, we walked around a little bit. And one of the things that we both wanted to see was the Joey Votto just- gifted the Reds a clock outside the stadium. And we wanted to see the Joey Votto clock. And I hadn't been to Cincinnati outside the park in a while.
So, obviously, there's a ton more restaurants and bars than there used to be. But also, I was really impressed with how much... How many... tributes there are to Cincinnati Reds baseball. There's a ton of statues. There's a ton of plaques. One of the plaques is says about the opening day parade.
So that's how I know if they're going to have a plaque for it, I figured they're going to have the parade, right? Yeah. So, I mean, and I apologize from the bottom of my heart. If anybody from Reds, Reds fandom is offended that I put a BIB hat on the Carl Hubble statue. Oh, wow. There you go. Hey, this is all I got to say, Evan.
If the Italians aren't pissed off that we put a sticker, that Adam Montevito put a sticker on their coffee machine, and the Reds people can't be upset that I put a baseball isn't boring, a BIB hat on the Carl Hubble statue. Exactly.

All right. Number three.
All right, so number three, this is probably a team I have higher than others, but I think just based on, maybe I've been seduced by just people we've had on and just talking about them, whether it's Buster Olney or Sam Dykstra, but I got the Tigers in at three. Their rotation is just crazy good. Obviously, you got Scooble at the front. They didn't trade him. He made it through the offseason.
He's still there. Fran Bervaldez at two. Jack Flaherty, who's always shaky, but you've got him at three. The return of Justin Verlander at four and Casey Mize at five. I think if any of the bottom three outside of Scubo and Valdez can be anything like they've been in the past for even a little bit of the year, I think that's a huge boost.
Back into the bullpen, you've got Brandon Finnegan, who was obviously their closer last year. Will Vest, who was solid for them, and then you got Kenley Jansen coming in, got some of that BIB blood in the bullpen. And then, obviously, the lineup is always a little tricky, but just the insertion of... Kevin McGonigal in that lineup is just going to be big time.
Obviously, he was raking in spring training. You got Riley Green. You got Kerry Carpenter, who it felt like every time I turned on a postseason game, he was hitting a clutch homer. And then, you know, if you get anything out of Javi Baez and these other guys, then you're really cooking. But I just think their pitching is really solid.
And then the Kevin McGonigal stuff and Buster Olney saying, why would they ever sell Scooble? They're going for the whole thing. I was just at their camp. I think it all –
What do you got for rookie of the year, by the way?
I mean, I think in the NL, I'm going with McClain just based on what I've seen, even though there's a ton of good candidates. Okay. And the AL, I'd probably have to go with McGonigal. It's just, out of everything I've heard so far, it feels like a guy.
