75 - Dark Phoenix Redux

So we revisit this discussion, analyzing the repercussions for both the X-MEN movie franchise and the entertainment landscape in general. Why are so many X-MEN fans excited about this? Should they be? We offer our thoughts, which might surprise many. THEN, we look at the Entertainment Weekly issue that offers our first sustained look at X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX, which might now be the final film in this iteration of the franchise. We've been pretty ambivalent about this movie since it was first announced - did these first official images and story details change our minds?
