What is going on in my life? Still been playing basketball, which has been amazing. I've been outside, I don't know, every night. We have a new home, but now we're actually getting to enjoy some of the fruits of having a new home. We built a little fire pit in the backyard, have some guests coming over this weekend. It's been great. Life's been good.
All the things. Life has been good. Did you become a Masters golf fan this past weekend watching... Rory McIlroy.
He was impressive, but that was a rollercoaster ride. It was awesome. I mean, he was up by however many strokes, biggest lead, and then lost the whole lead, and then came back, and then was down on the day.
I have never in my life sat and watched Golf as much as I did this weekend. It was a unique situation the day before I didn't want to do anything I was running the next day Sunday promised to be the last time I talked about it So my wife and I sat in this Airbnb that we had all day Saturday It was also kind of a yucky day and we watched it all day. I And then after the race on Sunday, when I was just commiserating in my nonsense, I did it again and it was awesome.
I know I never watch it, but if for some reason I was watching it this year, I was doing house projects and stuff and it was awesome.
I loved it. I loved it. And I kept texting my middle son who I play golf with a lot. And I was like joking. I was like, you know, these guys look a lot like us. Because they're all over the place. I mean, it is Augusta, and I understand that. But, I mean, they're in the woods. They're in the trees. They're hitting people. And then the difference is that turns into a 10 for me, and they make a par or a birdie with it. I'm like, what is that? It was unbelievable.
So that was fun to watch. I have one question for you based on that. Yeah. Because I think a lot of people's dream sporting event is the Masters. Do you have a dream sporting event that if you could go to it, it would be the coolest thing ever?
No, zero. I really don't. Super Bowl, nothing? No, I mean, I don't. I don't. I mean, interestingly enough, I've been to the Masters.
Oh, you have?
Yeah, I had a great privilege of going with a friend. He has a great story. I won't bore anybody to death with it, but his family found old memorabilia in their house long, long ago. It was a relative, like a great grandfather or whatever. It ended up being the original scorecard of the very first Masters winner. It was signed, and they also had a flag from Augusta. They sent it to the masters, the folks at Augusta, and said, you know, it's for you. Put it in the clubhouse. We don't need it. They gave them passes for life in the family.
Holy cow.
So they take friends and family members every year as a gesture if they've never been. So I had an opportunity years ago to go with that friend, and it was amazing. It was absolutely amazing. That's awesome. But no, the Super Bowl is interesting. I mean, you all know if you've listened to the show for a long time, we have a great friend in Will Levis who hopefully will be playing at a different team someday soon. And maybe in the future, I mean, my dream would be that he eventually someday, I know we're going to get a lot of eye rolls from this, but I'm a believer, he plays in the Super Bowl someday. And I will be at that Super Bowl. I would 100%. I mean, the Derby, I would say, is big for me, but I've gone many times.
I'm very blessed in that. I didn't go, you know, when I was in college, we had opportunities to go to the infield. I would not go. My buddies would go to the infield. I'd be like, you don't even see a horse. Now there's some seating and stuff, but I'm like, I respect the sport too much to go.
