DIY Money.
Logan was shaking.
So... I got a lot going on in my life right now. We have a lot of parties.
I like to party.
I don't know if the people out there know this.
You are the party king, honestly. We do a lot. You love to throw and host.
That sounds bad, but it's weird parties. They're very strange.
What personal stories and weekend plans do the hosts share?
The last party that I had was a soup party. We literally had a soup cook-off.
This was Super Bowl weekend, right?
It was Super Bowl weekend.
Did you call it Super Bowl party?
Yeah, it was like the Super Bowl party before the Super Bowl kind of thing. So it was on Saturday before the Super Bowl. Well, in this one, I assisted with, but I didn't host. My friends hosted it. I got first place. So I brought all this up just to brag about that. And it was, you know, first place out of 10 soups. I mean, I'm not going to brag too much, but top 10%.
First place out of 10 soups. You're the worst.
But it was, you're just still mad about Panera.
Yeah. I was trying to move on because this is a new day and we cut three in a row and they know that. And, but as far as they know, it's like Wednesday and that was Monday and they've moved on. I should move on. And I'm not mad about it anymore. As you can tell, tell me about your soup.
Yeah. No, so we made chicken orzo soup, which was fantastic. But this weekend coming up, and this is a junior question, we are having some friends over, which is really interesting. Once you're four years into marriage, I guess this is okay. Although I might regret saying this later, is on Valentine's Day, we're having some friends over. We are having one of my best high school friends over, his wife, and then their two kids are coming over. So we got a three-year-old and a one-year-old. that are coming over. So it's going to be chaos in our house, but it's going to be a lot of fun. But it's finally, finally, finally a little bit warmer around here. It's going to be 55 degrees, so we will have a little bonfire in the backyard.
We'll be living large. I am so excited.
Are you a s'mores person?
I'm more of a hot dog over the fire kind of person. I love a good hot dog over a fire. S'mores, I think, are overrated.
I actually agree with that. That's not a hot take. But here's an... I'll give you an alternative for those listening out there. Have you ever had a banana boat?
What?
Yep. Okay, here we go. This is a I sleep outside all the time kind of thing. No, this is just a I learned about this and can't get over it thing.
Fair enough. Okay.
So what you're going to do, you're going to get a banana. You're going to cut it lengthwise in half.
Just so you know, I probably won't do this, but...
You are going, did you not hear me say this is what you are going to do? I know. Just give it a chance. Okay. You cut it down lengthwise and then you stuff it similar to a s'more. So you put like marshmallows, chocolate chips. A lot of people do peanut butter. I do not do peanut butter. You can do like butterscotch chips. We don't have to go down that road. Don't start. I'm already so mad. Chocolate is the key here. Okay. Now you've created your dessert thing. You're going to wrap it in foil.
Okay. Okay.
Like a little pouch.
Okay.
So you want to leave a little bit of space at the top, but you like mostly like as if you're wrapping a hot dog kind of thing. And then you put it in the coals of the fire and you leave them in there. It takes honestly a while, but you're waiting for the banana to caramelize. And so I would say, honestly, Google it because I'm just going to say the wrong thing. But we'll say 10 to 15 minutes. Like it takes a bit of time. And then you take it out of the fire and you eat it with like a fork. But what will happen is the banana will caramelize, the marshmallows will melt, the chocolate will melt, and you're left with like a gooey dessert. That kind of sounds fire.
