Welcome back. Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to another edition of DIY Money. DIY Money. Logan, back-to-back episodes. That's right.
And this is your first official day of retirement.
First official day.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Nothing changed. Like, zero. Nothing. Other than people sending me, and I have loved it. I mean, I have gotten text messages. I have gotten emails. My sister, upstate New York, we grew up, there was a little grocery store, not so little anymore, called Wegman's. And they had these things called half moon cookies. They're impossible to get. They're just whatever. And I would go up there every time I got a chance and I would get a half moon cookie, like a splurge on this thing. It's all, it looks like a half moon and it's got white frosting on one side, black frosting or chocolate frosting on another side. It was unbelievable. Unbelievable. She tried to send them to me in the mail and she like called me today and she's like, did you get your mail yet?
And I'm like, no, I haven't gotten it. It's like, regular mail she tried to send she's like well it was 30 when I sent them there and now it's 80 degrees and I'm like what are you talking about show me a popsicle I opened the package they're all smushed and melted and everything but no it's uh it's I had a friend in town carry over from the derby and a long weekend just a lot of fun and today was you know we we I don't know I went for a run I checked the markets all day like I I mean, I don't know. I think between DIY money, high school, I'm getting ready to take my kids abroad, or not those kids, high school DIY money and college kids. I'm pretty engrossed in the financial markets almost every single day.
Yeah, you're still in it. I thought it was funny too. You and I texted this morning about I think DIY money or random stuff. And I was like, this is, there's no difference.
None, none, none. It's, it is, it is interesting. I will say though that I look forward to and will be personally writing a lot more. I'm not going to be writing like, Oh, I like this stock or I think this in the market, but you and I, both know that writing under the auspices of a, of an advisor, I don't care if I'm writing about the weather or Churchill downs and Kentucky Derby, the compliance process is a lot. It's just a, and it's fine. You need it for protection and for you as an advisor and clients, but it's a lot. And I do look forward to just writing my thoughts and, And, you know, posting them on DIYMoney.org or posting them on, you know, LinkedIn or whatever, just getting things out there.
Because I love to write. I always have enjoyed writing, and I really look forward to doing that. That did not happen this morning because I slept in, which I was like, I'm sleeping in.
I'm sleeping in. You can sleep in.
But I won't do that very often because that felt weird. I didn't like that.
You're like, 8 o'clock, this is crazy. Yeah.
All right. Housekeeping odds and ends. If you haven't heard, we're rolling up on our thousandth episode. And if you send in an audio file question, which we still need questions and you write thousand dollar entry in the subject line or in the body of the message and you send in a question, we will put that in the queue and we are going to select a question for our thousandth episode. And that person will get a thousand dollars.
He's going to give away $1,000. Someone's going to get $1,000. Who do you think is going to get $1,000?
Not $25 Amazon gift card. They will get $1,000 to celebrate our 1,000th episode. So, again, send us the questions. If you got one, it's burning, you know, it's burning a hole in your pocket and you want it answered now, send it to us and don't put that in the subject line. We'll probably put it on the show. But if you want to get in the queue for that, especially those of you that have sent in questions in the past, you've been listening, you know, like Chelsea's question today, she said she's been listening for the last three years.
